Most Beautiful Photos of Africa

Gallery of 26 gorgeous photos from the wildest continent. Click on photo to enlarge.

Africa is the world's second-largest and second most-populous continent, after Asia. At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earth's total surface area and 20.4% of the total land area.[2] With a billion people (as of 2009, see table) in 61 territories, it accounts for about 14.72% of the World's human population.
Of course, the soul of Africa can be brought to each home. If you print post cards using these or similar photos and send them to the beloved ones or friends, the beauty of the hot continent's nature will certainly live among them.

Africa's beautiful enough without all the HDR processing - These are cliched and over processed.

Horrible processing that ruins the natural beauty these shots would otherwise display.

Perhaps you could post credits to the photographers?

"I was unaware that Africa had pyramids????"

FAIL!

I agree that crediting the individual photographers would be the correct thing to do, otherwise it is tantamount to stealing ....

But why so few people and built environment? It would seem you don't care for Africans themselves. Please make sure your representation is truly representative. It is not only animals that inhabit Africa.

Egypt is apart of Africa! vvvv Take geography.

Yes, Africa is very beautiful, but it also has its ugly sides. Sometimes it gets really annoying seeing as how people only seem to describe it as being either really beautiful or really ugly. as if some parts of it are really perfect and the rest are really ugly. and usually the the part portrayed as really beautiful is the wildlife. Everything else is seen as being ugly and primitive. This creates misconceptions. We Africans are really not as primitive as most Westerners seem to think we are. We are not a stupid, disease ridden people. Yes, we know what the internet is, yes many of us are on Facebook and Twitter, yes we Skype, yes we own I-phones, I-pads and tablets. Africa, like its counterparts, is a very diverse continent. We know all about technology, (did u know the first successful open heart surgery was performed in Africa, by an African?) we have simply chosen not to let it take over our traditions completely. On the one hand, we have large developed, technologically advanced cities, and on the other we have peaceful villages and wildlife, where, to an extent, things are still as they were many decades ago. We have the best of both worlds. That's what makes Africa, MY Africa, so special.
