Europe is the world's second-smallest continent by surface area, covering about 10,180,000 square kilometres (3,930,000 sq mi) or 2% of the Earth's surface and about 6.8% of its land area. Of Europe's approximately 50 states, Russia is the largest by both area and population, while Vatican City is the smallest. Europe is the third-most populous continent after Asia and Africa, with a population of 731 million or about 11% of the world's population. However, according to the United Nations (medium estimate), Europe's share may fall to about 7% by 2050. In 1900, Europe's share of the world's population was 25%. More on Wikipedia.

the last picture under Germany section is really Hong Kong's skyline
Why Switzerland isn't on the list??! That's a shame... Plus, ALL these pics are too much photoshopped.
i love varazdin:)

This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.
Yeah, ofc they're shopped. These are HDR-photos. Google it if you care.
The last picture of Germany is meant to show Frankfurt/Main. But it' Hong Kong!! ...not in Europe Iguess!! ;)
Sorry to burst your HRD bubble, but there's a picture in there of the waterfront in Barcelona, Spain. I took a picture from almost the same spot, facing the exact same direction, under the same weather conditions, and it came out, well, almost exactly the same.
Two problems I see with most (almost all) pictures:
1. stereotypes
2. way overdone, I mean overly dramatized pictures.
+1: many countries are missing...
Wow love these photos! Especially the one of the corn field and the lonely cloud :D
over the top HDR = epic fail
I agree, WAY too much over the top HDR. Plus, Russia is NOT part of Europe. (Neither is Hong Kong, if you care, which is pictured...)
HDR is so played out and is ruining photography
last "germany" shot is hong kong.
It is pity that there are some Geographic mistakes, but pictures are really GREAT!
The Ural Mountains are the eastern border of Europe, so Russia is part of Europe.
One picture of Norway and it's of a ship? Wow! Hot tip for next time is to take a picture of the fjord behind the ship... :)
Other than that, I love the pictures
Too much HDR, load of average images shopped to destruction.
Guessing it was done by an American since the georgraphy is fail.
The last "germany" shot... isn't from Germany.
Also, I didn't realise culture could be "driven" by anything but history. But... eh, semantics.
way to go putting a doctored photo of hong kong in there, NOOB! the original is better! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c4/Hong_Kong_Night_Skyline_non-HDR.jpg
Too much photoshop/HDR
Really perfect photos, but i think ps used on these photos, mostly nature is not su pure and clear.
Technically Russia is part of Asia and Europe... Eurasia..
it's so unbelievable....
Nice collection ...
The Last pic in the Germany Section is Hamburg (Jungfernsteig). Its not HongKong .... May be it resembles too much ...
People need to stop complaining and enjoy what's presented. The are breathtaking photos. Photoshopped or not.
Even though Photoshop played over it.
Pictures are really rocking..........
Great collection !
Jean-Michel
cool picture, I am sure they are all stunning without the photoshop, no need to change the colours so much...
Nice pictures but I'm kinda sad that there wasn't any pictures of Turkey.
where is turkey?
Istanbul extends both on the European and on the Asian (Anatolia) sides of the Bosphorus, and is thereby the only metropolis in the world that is situated on two continents. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Istanbul)
This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.
Doesn't the world look a bit more dramtic when it has been photoshopped. I think you went a wee bit overboard on most of them...They don't look real....!
If Europe is so amazing, why do these photos have to be so photoshopped. Way to ruin a good photo.
HDR overkill here - yes, they've achieved impressive contrast ranges, but a landscape photo is generally meant to represent what the landscape actually looks to the human eye - not how it would look if we were able to see in HDR. Just my view of course.
awesome works... though i am not likely HDR
awesome pictures...nice for pc desktop wallpaper..
most of these pictures are terrible, not because they are bad pictures, but because of the retarded amounts of 'clarity' used in photoshop RAW. Alos some of the saturation and contrast values just make this look like a businessman that calls himself a graphic designer on the side. granted there are a few, very natural, lovely pictures on here. overall, breathtaking isnt the word i'd use for these.
Amazing photos. Thank you for sharing.
What settings did you use to get those dramatic colours?
Yes, the pictures are great, what soft Do You use for it (hdr) ?
SOme good stuff but too much HDR for my taste.
Nice -----------
cool, but some color are too sharp, not good in the eye at aLL..
One of the best selection of photos. Each photo is a story in itself. Thank you authors for this beautiful pictures.
Only three pictures without buildings. Thats why europe is at the bottom of my list of places to go.
These are awful. Photo Shop-ed like crazy, the colors are entirely too saturated, and many have visible pixels from where things have been cropped in.
Not to mention several of these images are from totally different countries than what this blog denotes.
And it's either "The Netherlands" or "Holland," NOT "Netherland."
FAIL
One photo of Scotland and it's a CHURCH lol, considering Scotland has the most beautiful countryside in the UK!
Wow I find this very interesting. lol
great ideas, beautiful photos
very nice work.
So much HDR fail. Learn to expose properly and work within the limitations of your equipment and medium, like photographers have been doing for the last hundred years. HDR is just ugly laziness by talentless wankers.
/rant
The man just wants to be immediately created in these places are pretty much
Each photo is a story in itself. Excellent choice and selection.
How do you do HDR?
Alot of the photos are over enhanced HDR images, and over saturated aswell. Learn to exposure properly and curves.
Hi, can anybody tell me what city is on the second last picture of spain and is this picture available in higher resultion?
WOW! Indeed amazing photos - seems that those places are almost unreal!
Congrats for this post!
Nice photos, sad to see so many bitter trolls.
However, has no-one else noticed that the Eiffel Tower looks broken?
Photos are ektra, I honor each set because someone could use them, I really like it ....
obviously they are photoshopped but they are still amazing pictures..great job

great.... thumbs up
were is slovakia???????????
And where is here Sokobanja
Lots of good post, I've recorded and when should it be something I will look, in each case is excellent and thanks a lot ....
Jesus... Stumble fails again. Just so inevitable that every single list of '40 of the most amazing photographs of...whatever...' is, instead, going to be
'40 kinda cool, but totally raped with photo-shop photographs to show all you stumblers how obvious I can make it that I've shopped every single one of them, causing you to hit the thumbs down button to try and avoid stumbling the same tiring crap...'

i think its funny, that Europe said that there is so much natural beauty in Germany, yet most of these pictures are all filled with buildings, covering the natural beauty.
i live in london, and that shot of the parliament should be smoggy and overcast. trust
I get that HDR is a legitimate skill that can be used to really enhance a good photo, but I agree with other posters. Some of this is just way too much. Less is more. The HDR effects should be MUCH more subtle.
Yup! really breathtaking pictures as the person who sees them just found himself with the picture and i am sure that it had gave a chance to see the real beauty of the nature. Thanks man....
HRD doesn't automatically equal "breathtaking". Some of these are pretty sloppily done - halos around the edges.
Its these kind of images that make Americans believe that Europe is an ancient fantasy world. It's real, beautiful, ugly, old, and new. But it isn't HRD.
wtf, not any pics from sweden?
I agree, WAY too much over the top HDR. Plus, Russia is NOT part of Europe. (Neither is Hong Kong, if you care, which is pictured...)
these are nice photos, your country has nice spots for picture taking.
So amazing places. I never thought that in our world there are so palces. http://www.cigs4girls.com/
Nice photos, thanks....
There are some nice shots but I generally like HDR. I assume you didn't take these yourself though or maybe I'm wrong.
the last picture under Germany section is really Hamburg/Germany. view from the river Alster
I must say that these photos of Europe are breathtaking and amazing, great selection of photos, thank you
Europe is the most beautiful place in this World, i have always admired its beauty. But in Europe France has distinguished itself as the most beautiful one.
Beautiful, really have to say is commendable ....
These are insane! Thanks so much for sharing
What type of camera did you use ?
Let u have details on the camera please
That's really breathtaking Europe Pics
I love Europe
great pictures, I am sure they are all stunning without photo editors, no need to change the colours so much...
Stunning photos, but feel like photographers are overusing the sharpen tool these days!
amazing shots...
Really nice, thank you very much
And you wrecked them...
Those parts of Ireland are beautiful in normal photos. They look ridiculous and like a video game in this. Pointless.
That is not what Europe looks like. Get off your arse and come look.
Ha ha, really good photos, thank you ... only if these photos are real or remodeled in Photoshop?
Amazingly beautyful,I wish to go there.thank u for sharing.http://holidayindia.net/

I seriously need to learn how to edit photos. These are incredible. Thanks for sharing.
very nice fotografy
When I look at pictures I think about the people who built all these places and the time it took. Each place has a story...
I like photography my self, only I shoot panoramic images. But I am so sad, that they are not even near the quality of your pictures.
Good work.
These pictures are so impressive, that it is hard to believe, they are shooten on real places, not phshop generated pics.
Great job
B.O.
great pictures thanks for sharing
Places like these in Europe and other countries are amazing. I love travel and finding great travel deals to get there!
Amazing photos! It mesmerize my eyes and wished to be there in a snap. Thanks for posting those photos. More power and keep blogging like this. Thanks!
somebody change the background pls...
Nice, heavy on the HDR but very well composed.
Beautiful images, in fact it is Europe:)
Lovely Pictures Breathtaking views
These photos are absolutely stunning my friend and despite the harsh criticism of "Anonymous" who keeps yammering on and on, your images constitute ART and your unique perspective on life throughout these lands. The shot in Ireland of the old church and sunset is magical!!!
Amazing photos! I am always impressed by the architecture of the Czech Republic and the surprising beauty of Croatia. I first saw the landscape of these countries on TravelExplosion.com some time ago. Makes you just want to hope on a plane and take a vacation!
Why wasn't my comment added?
